The good book?

I read Wally Olins Brand Handbook today. Olins seems to be one of the godfathers of the branding ideas.

The relationship between Branding and Marketing is actually quite fascinating. Both principles are guidelines for product handling, but one argues on spreading out on the market while branding teaches narrowing down till you become best in your niche.

So I decided to do the same thing I did with Vetter and apply Olins guidelines on my project. While not as enlightening it really helped to find out that the focus of the game series needs to be the games, since other aspects can't really shine as much without the product.
